Dr Elisabeth Sjögren is a specialist in Otolaryngology and Head neck surgery at the Leiden University Medical Center since 2005. General Secretary of the European Laryngological Society.

Her research has focused on the understanding and treatment early glottic cancer (Larynx Research Group Leiden), functional outcome of laser surgery and radiation in T1-T2 glottic cancer, the treatment of vocal fold paralysis and the treatment of structural defects (sulcus, stretch marks and vocal fold scars).
