In 2025, when he first came to Hamburg, he presented with a synechia and leukoplakia with afterward proven high-grade dysplasia of the vocal folds. He does not want another surgery under general anesthesia and is now scheduled for a transnasal flexible endoscopy approach with a fiber-guided blue laser.
