Case
Prof. Miquel Quer (Bareclona)
34-Year-Old Male.
The patient presents with a right-sided cervical mass, that appeared six
months ago and was initially associated with flu symptoms.
No other complaints.
He has no significant past medical history.
Examination Findings:
- Physical Examination: Right-sided neck mass located near the larynx, suspected to be an external
laryngeal cyst (laryngocele or saccular cyst). Larynx examination without significant findings.
- Ultrasound: Confirms the presence of an external laryngeal cyst.
- MRI: Identifies a cystic lesion (42 mm) in the neck, originating from the larynx consistent with a
laryngocele or saccular cyst with a predominantly external component.
Proposed Surgery: External resection of a laryngeal cyst.
