42 years old with adductor spasmodic dysphonia history
2013: remitted to outpatients clinic because of voice problems
- strained voice
- vocal fatigue
- complaints exacerbated by stress
- no improvement after speech therapy, physical therapy and mindfulness therapy
Prior history: none
Diagnosis and follow-up:
Adductor spasmodic dysphonia
- 2013 -2015 treatment with Botox with good results (audio during surgery)
- surgical plan: primary myoneurectomy
Examination:
- voice is tight and strained with voice breaks (audio during surgery)
- normal vocal fold ab- and adduction
- normal vocal fold vibration
- no structural lesions
