Male
42 years old with adductor spasmodic dysphonia history
2013: remitted to outpatients clinic because of voice problems
  • strained voice
  • vocal fatigue
  • complaints exacerbated by stress
  • no improvement after speech therapy, physical therapy and mindfulness therapy
Prior history: none
Diagnosis and follow-up:
Adductor spasmodic dysphonia
  • 2013 -2015 treatment with Botox with good results (audio during surgery)
  • surgical plan: primary myoneurectomy

Examination:
  • voice is tight and strained with voice breaks (audio during surgery)
  • normal vocal fold ab- and adduction
  • normal vocal fold vibration
  • no structural lesions
