Patient: Andreas B.
born on 08/03/1969:: 53 years old

Bilateral laryngeal paralysis on opening, a complication of thoracic surgery for thymus cancer performed in June 2020.
He presents with aphonia with a very breathy voice (Hirano score G3R2B3A3S0).
He does not complain of aspiration. He is dyspneic at rest due to glottal leak. His dyspnea worsens when he lies down.
Bilateral decrease of diaphragm contraction.
Type of surgery: bilateral selective reinnervation, using upper root of one phrenic nerve on one side, for PCAs reinnervation, and thyro hyoid branch of Both hypoglossi for adductor muscles reinnervation. 7 hours duration.
